Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes (avg. 500 miles/day)
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adhere strictly to DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions via onboard telematics
- Maintain clean MVR and participate in random drug screenings
- Represent company brand through professional conduct and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and lift up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with hazmat placards (preferred but not required)
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips (max 2 nights/week)
