Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B CDL) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete necessary delivery paperwork (Bills of Lading).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and shippers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local San Diego geography and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling cargo up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Availability to work a part-time schedule, typically Monday through Friday.
