Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring all items are secured and protected during transport.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, ensuring satisfaction with each delivery.
- Route Management: Plan efficient routes to minimize delays and ensure on-time arrivals.
Qualifications
- License Requirement: Valid CDL Class A or B license is mandatory.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations within the last 5 years.
- Experience: Prior experience in delivery driving or logistics is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Health: Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps.
