Responsibilities
- Secure and Transport Cargo: Safely load, secure, and deliver freight to designated locations in the Charlotte metro area.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and digital route planning tools to ensure timely deliveries and efficient fuel management.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, handle paperwork, and resolve delivery issues on-site.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the proper endorsements.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no recent major violations (DUI, reckless driving).
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use mobile dispatch apps.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods.
