Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently within the San Jose metropolitan area.
- Execute pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying quantities and ensuring proper handling of sensitive materials.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and providing exceptional service.
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately and on time.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred (Class A).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety systems and inspection procedures.
