Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver goods to customers on assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of materials.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) in hand.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Previous route driving experience is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Basic computer skills for navigating delivery software and handling digital paperwork.
