Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations in the Dallas metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual labor, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues on the spot.
- Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT drug screen certification.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong knowledge of local Dallas, TX roads and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
