Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers in various weather and road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records to ensure compliance.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on or before the promised delivery time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding cargo status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR or regional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and mandatory drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business demands.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle handling.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during the trip.
