Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A and Class B vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and timely logs (ELD/DCMS) and delivery documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to strict safety and compliance standards set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Long Beach, CA delivery routes and logistics hubs is a plus.
