Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Class A preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to travel to Virginia and other regions as required.
- Physical ability to lift cargo and perform manual tasks as needed.
