Responsibilities
- Safely operate your owned box truck for local and regional delivery routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Optimize routes for efficiency and on-time performance
- Represent SwiftLogistics with professionalism in client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable box truck (26ft max) with DOT inspection certification
- Strong knowledge of Milwaukee metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
- Smartphone with reliable data for communication and GPS
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
