Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently from pickup points to designated delivery locations within the Milwaukee area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cargo and truck are secure and road-ready.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing our brand to customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Update electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must own and maintain a well-maintained box truck suitable for cargo transport.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
