Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of goods across Metro Detroit using your personal box truck
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Manage basic route optimization for efficient daily operations
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Reliable personal box truck (24-26ft preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Metro Detroit streets and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during deliveries
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route tracking apps
