Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain daily logs
- Ensure student safety through proper loading/unloading procedures
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips and special events as needed
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient demeanor with experience working with children
- Flexible availability (mornings, afternoons, split shifts)
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
