Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and special events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers while enforcing school bus safety rules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, including regular cleaning and trash removal.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and dispatch regarding route issues or delays.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus as needed, maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must possess a satisfactory driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage student behavior effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift light objects if necessary.
