Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on long-haul routes across the continental US.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any damages.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills for logbooks and safety compliance.
- Willingness to travel long distances (OTR) and be away from home for extended periods.
