Responsibilities
- Operate Box Trucks: Safely and efficiently transport freight within the Atlanta metro area and surrounding regions.
- Route Planning: Plan and manage your own delivery schedules to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Cargo Handling: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure cargo security and vehicle safety.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required DOT logs, delivery receipts, and bill of ladings.
- Customer Service: Represent our company professionally while interacting with clients and suppliers.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks and report vehicle issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Medical Card: Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical).
- Experience: Proven experience in local or regional truck driving is preferred.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a thorough background and criminal history check.
- Equipment: Reliable box truck or ability to obtain one through our lease program.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use dispatch software.
