Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' box truck to transport freight within the Houston metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Handle cargo loading and unloading, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and electronic logging device (ELD) logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers, representing Prime Freight Partners professionally.
- Keep the truck clean and well-maintained to uphold our company image.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating box trucks or straight trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area roads and navigation systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to obtain necessary insurance and authority if required.
