Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' box truck in local and regional areas within Greensboro, NC and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using dollies and proper lifting techniques.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including Bill of Lading (BOL), delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance for both the vehicle and personal conduct.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must be an independent Owner Operator (owning the truck and authority) or lease operator.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a current Motor Carrier Operator (MCO) number and current insurance.
- Experience with box truck operations and flatbed freight is highly preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
