Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26ft box truck in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring goods are secured properly for transit.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily inspection reports (DVIR).
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by arriving on time and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal mechanical condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding schedule changes or route issues.
Qualifications
- Must own your own box truck (21-26ft) and insurance.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience in a box truck or similar delivery vehicle.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for accessing load boards and navigation apps.
