Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to transport freight to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including mileage, fuel, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
