Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport construction materials, soil, and debris to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using hydraulic lift mechanisms and manual handling tools as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding route changes and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A or B) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physical stamina required to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo training to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if not already held.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
