Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt) to designated sites.
- Load and unload cargo using standard equipment while ensuring load security.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and paperwork as required by federal regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors regarding routes and delivery schedules.
- Perform basic truck maintenance and keep the cab and trailer clean.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (Must be willing to obtain if not currently held).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn vehicle maintenance.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
