Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for long-haul and regional routes during overnight shifts
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and verify shipment documentation
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and DOT regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal overnight supervision
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Physical capability to climb, lift (up to 50 lbs), and operate in varying weather conditions
- Basic familiarity with ELD systems and route navigation tools
