Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for night shift deliveries within Indiana and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load and unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Manage delivery documentation and coordinate with warehouse teams
- Respond proactively to route changes and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) with variable schedules
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
