Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks on designated regional routes within the San Diego area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and timeframes.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and meet current DOT physical standards.
- Previous experience in regional or local truck driving preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and customer service.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
