Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for overnight deliveries across Arizona and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance for all vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper securing techniques
- Respond proactively to changing road conditions and weather challenges
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and climb trailer steps
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and fleet management software
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Southwest terrain
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication protocols
- Flexibility for variable schedules including weekends and holidays
