Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans on various routes within the New York metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate complex city routes and highway systems during night hours with precision.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (night shift experience preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available to work night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic laws and road conditions.
