Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on designated routes during night hours.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and weight compliance.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and HOS regulations.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies.
- Navigate efficiently through Detroit and surrounding Michigan areas.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (Class B may be considered for local).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift, pull, and carry cargo packages weighing up to 50lbs.
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
