Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for overnight deliveries across the Midwest region
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time arrivals
- Perform minor equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Ensure cargo security and proper loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Passing DOT physical and drug screening required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for regional routes and occasional overnight stays
- High school diploma or equivalent
