Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated night routes throughout the Austin area and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying inventory against delivery manifests.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and ensure timely delivery schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of interstate commerce laws and DOT compliance standards.
