Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on designated routes during night hours, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weight distribution and securing loads against shifting.
- Maintain accurate daily electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
