Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight safely and on time, adhering to strict delivery schedules.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (E-Logs) and driver qualification files in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment and secure loads to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery updates and potential route changes.
- Keep the cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and long hours with occasional overtime.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
