Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in adherence to FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling, ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong willingness to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Tanker/Hazmat preferred but not required).
