Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 trucks for overnight regional routes (10-12 hour shifts)
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and dock equipment with precision
- Maintain meticulous electronic logs (ELD) and compliance documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight to diverse locations including warehouses, distribution centers, and retail hubs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience preferred)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Ohio roadways and weather conditions
- Experience with refrigerated/hazardous materials a plus
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexible mindset to adapt to changing delivery schedules
