Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on overnight routes within Illinois and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining accurate shipping/receiving documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage loading/unloading operations at client facilities with efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems and route planning tools
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with variable start times
- Experience with hazmat or tanker endorsements preferred but not required
