Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport goods across Chicagoland and surrounding Midwest regions
- Maintain meticulous vehicle inspection logs and pre-trip/post-trip checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and delays
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and sit for extended periods
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Familiarity with Chicagoland roadways and surrounding states
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
