Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for overnight deliveries across Chicagoland area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation via remote portal
- Inspect vehicles before/duty shifts and report maintenance needs
- Adapt routes using real-time GPS to avoid traffic delays
- Communicate with dispatchers remotely via satellite tracking system
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Chicago metropolitan roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong communication skills for remote coordination
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
