Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for overnight long-haul deliveries across the eastern seaboard
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, post-trip maintenance checks, and accurately document vehicle condition
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Efficiently load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding traffic, weather, and delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training modules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Overnight shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat placarding (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication standards
