Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods overnight within Austin and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist in training new drivers on night shift procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Proven ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Familiarity with Austin metro roadways and delivery zones
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
