Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks for nighttime cross-dock and dock-to-dock deliveries
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations while maintaining efficient delivery schedules
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance logs
- Utilize GPS systems for optimized route planning in metropolitan areas
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time load updates and priority handling
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with DOT/FMCSA standards
- Secure cargo and handle specialized freight (temperature-controlled, hazardous materials)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with LA metro routes and regional highway systems
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening requirements
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Availability for consistent overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
