Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) for local/regional routes during overnight shifts
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logging
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation and customer communications
- Operate in all weather conditions while maintaining on-time performance
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route navigation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and climb trailer steps
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Knowledge of Charlotte-area road networks
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in overnight environments
