Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial customers across Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care and accuracy.
- Navigate complex city routes and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and log maintenance records accurately.
- Utilize handheld devices for order tracking, proof of delivery, and route updates.
- Collaborate with dispatch to adjust routes based on traffic and delivery priorities.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3 years).
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigating apps and logging hours.
- Physically able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
