Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Verify delivery accuracy by collecting signatures and ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Update delivery status in the company's mobile tracking system accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and resolve delivery issues professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class B or CDL Class A preferred but not required for some roles).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach and surrounding Florida regions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management skills and a reliable work history.
- Current DOT medical card (if required for vehicle type).
