Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages and cargo to designated addresses.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload merchandise using hand trucks, dollies, and proper lifting techniques.
- Provide professional customer service, including handling signatures and answering delivery questions.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping software to avoid delays.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Current DOT medical card (if applicable to the vehicle type).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Experience with handheld scanners or delivery software is a plus.
