As a Delivery Driver with Apex, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our customers receive their packages safely and on time. We prioritize a supportive work environment and offer opportunities for growth within our logistics network.
Responsibilities
- Safe & Timely Delivery: Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers along a designated route in a safe and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, verify delivery details, and obtain signatures where required.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in optimal condition.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other paperwork in compliance with company policies.
- Route Management: Follow GPS instructions and optimize delivery stops to maximize efficiency.
- Problem Solving: Resolve minor delivery issues on the spot and escalate complex situations to the dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred; Class C with clean driving record considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a commercial or delivery environment.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Technology: Basic proficiency with handheld devices and GPS navigation systems.
