Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial delivery vehicles on designated routes in the Memphis metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load and Unload: Efficiently handle cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to ensure safety and product integrity.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive unboxing experience and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, invoices, and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes and schedules to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred, but Class B with clean record is acceptable for local delivery.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and weekends as required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld devices for navigation and reporting.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or warehousing is a plus but not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training.
