Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive delivery vans and trucks to designated addresses in a safe and timely manner.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load, unload, and organize packages while ensuring cargo security.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling signatures and inquiries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the vehicle, report any maintenance issues, and keep the vehicle clean.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, mileage reports, and daily paperwork.
- Route Management: Follow GPS directions and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class C or Class B driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Experience: Prior delivery driving experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
