Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Operate delivery vehicles in a safe, defensive, and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Package Handling: Load, unload, sort, and verify packages to ensure accuracy before and after delivery.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, accepting packages with care, and maintaining a positive image of the company.
- Route Management: Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS systems to ensure timely completion of the assigned route.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure cleanliness and mechanical safety.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and electronic delivery records.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using mobile apps and GPS navigation systems.
- Residency: Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Long Beach, CA.
