Responsibilities
- Secure Cargo: Safely load and unload packages and freight onto delivery vehicles using proper lifting techniques.
- Route Execution: Navigate efficiently using GPS and route optimization tools to complete delivery schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Vehicle Care: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during night operations.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (DMV check required).
- Vehicle: Access to a reliable personal vehicle or ability to operate a commercial delivery van.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use mobile devices.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Residency: Must reside in or near Long Beach, CA.
- Experience: Previous driving or logistics experience is preferred but not mandatory.
